James Carras

James Carras CPA is an experienced finance professional with extensive expertise in Revenue Accounting and electronic commerce. Currently serving as the Manager of E-Commerce at Metra Commuter Rail since September 2016, James oversees critical revenue functions, including Ticket-By-Internet and point-of-sale operations. Prior to this role, James held various positions at United Airlines from December 1994 to December 2014, culminating in the role of Senior Manager of Ticket Fraud Control, where efforts resulted in a significant 90% reduction in credit card fraud. With a foundational background in auditing from Epstein, Rehbock & Applebaum and Blackman Kallick, James holds a BS degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
