Charlotte Laing has a diverse work experience history. Charlotte started their career as a Marketing Intern at Laing Traditional Masonry in 2014 and later returned to the company as a Marketing and Recruitment Intern in 2016. During their time there, they focused on brand development, website development, social media management, and implementing marketing strategies.
In 2017, Charlotte was selected as a Saltire Scholar and worked as an Audience Growth Intern at Boat Rocker Media, where they designed and created websites, edited pre-recorded shows, and assisted in managing social media accounts for award-winning television shows.
Charlotte then joined Brainlabs as an Account Manager in 2019 before moving on to freelance web design work in 2018.
In 2020, Charlotte held the role of Head of Marketing at AirRated and also worked as an Associate at Pavilion.
In 2021, they co-founded Smart Building Bootcamp, an organization that offers courses on smart building technology.
Most recently, Charlotte worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at Metrikus, a software platform that helps optimize buildings' environment, maintenance, and usage. Charlotte previously held the role of Head of Marketing at the same company.
Charlotte Laing completed their education at the University of Glasgow from 2014 to 2018. During their time at the university, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Digital Media and Information Studies, as well as Business and Management. Prior to this, they attended Beaconhurst School between 2010 and 2015, although the specific degree or field of study they pursued during this time is unknown. Additionally, Charlotte has obtained several certifications, including the Revenue Growth Architecture School certification from Pavilion in July 2021, the Google Web Designer Basics certification from Google in December 2018, and the Google Ads Display Certification from Google in November 2018.
