Ted Reid is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in regional planning and policy development. Currently serving as Principal Regional Planner at Metro since May 2006, Ted has also held the position of Policy Associate. Prior to this role, Ted was a Russill Fellow at Portland State University, where research focused on planning in the Portland Metropolitan region amidst the private property rights movement. Ted's career includes a period as a self-employed furniture maker from 1999 to 2005, managing all facets of a custom furniture business, and as Project Manager at American Land Conservancy from 1994 to 1999, where negotiation and management of conservation projects were key responsibilities. Ted holds a BA in Religion and South Asian Studies from Carleton College and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University.
