Mario Avila

Mario Avila, CPA, has extensive experience in accounting and auditing, currently serving as a Senior Auditor at Los Angeles Metro since June 2018. Prior experience includes a similar role at Lopez and Company, LLP from July 2014 to June 2018, and as a Staff Accountant at Berger/Lewis Accountancy Corporation from August 2012 to June 2014. Mario began the accounting career as an Accounting Assistant at Santa Cruz Biotechnology and has also contributed as a Tax Preparer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, providing free tax services to low-income families. Additionally, Mario has academic experience as a Teaching Assistant for Intermediate Accounting and Auditing and Assurance at UC Santa Cruz, where a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Economics with an emphasis in Accounting was earned. Early involvement includes serving as a Tour Guide for Japanese high school students during the SAL Niigata Program, promoting cultural exchange and language improvement.
