Ajay Patel

Ajay Patel currently serves as President & CEO at Vancouver Community College since May 2019, with prior experience as Vice President, Enterprise & International Development, overseeing strategic initiatives including the Campus Master Plan and various development portfolios. Ajay is a member of the Invest Vancouver Management Board since January 2023 and previously held the position of Vice-President, External Development at Langara College from 2001 to 2019, where responsibilities included institutional leadership across multiple sectors. Ajay's extensive background in sports governance includes roles as Chef De Mission for Team BC, CEO for Gymnastics BC and Badminton BC, and Co-Chair for the 2004 World Junior Badminton Championships. Educational credentials include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from The University of British Columbia and a diploma from Langara College.
