Carlos Hunte

Carlos Hunte is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in program management and project engineering, currently serving as the Program Manager for Major Projects Operations Support at Metro Vancouver since April 2013. Hunte leads a team focused on providing technical support for major capital projects, while overseeing operations, developing strategic planning initiatives, and fostering interdepartmental communication. Prior roles include Senior Engineer and Senior Project Engineer within Metro Vancouver, where project management and capital planning were key responsibilities. Experience also includes environmental consulting at Tetra Tech EBA, where project leadership in waste management and sustainability was demonstrated, as well as a background in petroleum engineering with the Barbados National Oil Company. Hunte holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and multiple master's degrees in relevant fields from the University of Calgary and the University of Birmingham.
