Paul Silvester

Paul Silvester is an experienced data professional currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Analytics at Metro Bank (UK) since January 2017. In this role, Paul leads the migration of a legacy SQL-based analytical platform to an Azure-hosted Snowflake environment, focusing on risk reduction, automation, and data governance. Previous roles at Metro Bank include Lead Data Insights & Automation Manager and Delivery Manager, where Paul emphasized governing data visualization platforms and streamlining business processes. Prior to Metro Bank, Paul held positions at Shell as a Subsurface & Wells Support Analyst and Transition Manager, and at CGI and Mikamai, where experience was gained in application support and web development, respectively. Paul holds an MA in Computing with a focus on Computer Science from the University of Aberdeen.
