Kristy Mlakar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in transit procurement and sustainability. Currently serving as the Senior Manager for the Transit Procurement Initiative at Metrolinx, Kristy oversees a portfolio of joint contracts valued at over $220 million for more than 30 municipalities in Ontario, promoting significant cost savings through bulk purchasing efficiencies. Kristy's previous roles at Metrolinx include Manager and Senior Project Lead, along with contributions to sustainability initiatives for zero-emission buses. At the Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium, Kristy held the position of National Operations Manager, leading diverse operations and project management for several innovative transportation projects. Kristy holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto Mississauga and has furthered education with various certifications, including a Negotiation Mastery certificate from Harvard Business School Online.
