Loreto Caprara

Loreto Caprara, P.Eng., currently serves as Senior Manager, LRT Maintenance Delivery at Metrolinx since November 2022, providing strategic leadership and technical assurance for light rail and subway infrastructure projects. Prior to this role, Loreto was Director of Technical Services at the University of Toronto, overseeing various departmental functions including laboratory operations, maintenance, and health and safety from January 2019 to November 2022. Earlier experience at Metrolinx included roles as Contract Compliance Officer, Project Coordinator, and Junior Project Coordinator, with a focus on contract management and track maintenance. Loreto began a career as Structural Engineer-In-Training at Consultec Ltd., and earlier held positions as a Teaching/Research Assistant at the University of Toronto and Engineering Trainee with the City of Toronto. Loreto holds a Master of Applied Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Toronto.
