Nirav Makwana

Nirav Makwana is a seasoned data engineer and technical lead with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving at Metrolinx since February 2021, Nirav has successfully led data engineering initiatives, collaborating with prominent organizations such as Microsoft and Databricks to implement scalable cloud data solutions. Prior to this, Nirav held positions at VYANA as a Senior Data Engineer, where collaboration with project teams for data migration requirements was key, and at Tata Consultancy Services, where complex database logic and automation tools were developed for various finance and insurance clients. Nirav's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Mumbai, a Postgraduate qualification in Cloud Computing for Big Data from Lambton College, and ongoing studies in entrepreneurial processes at Ivey Business School.
