Steven Murphy

Steven Murphy is an experienced professional in aquatics and education, currently serving as the U.S. Masters Swimming Coach at Excelsior Springs Community Center since October 2024. As the founder of Missouri Aquatics Training and Education Solutions, Steven leads a veteran-owned organization that provides American Red Cross aquatics training and private swim lessons. With a long tenure as an Adjunct Instructor of History at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, Steven utilizes multimedia technology to teach American and Western civilization history. Previous roles include Head Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor-Trainer at various prestigious organizations, with significant contributions to community water safety instruction and emergency planning. Steven holds a Master of Arts in European History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Park University.
