Greg Lydon has extensive experience in both the automotive and electrical industries. Currently serving as Show Electrician Foreman at MPEA since June 2007, responsibilities include electrical construction, distribution, blueprint reading, and theatrical lighting installation. Prior to this role, Greg Lydon worked as Used Car Manager at Jack Thompson Oldsmobile in 2002, where efforts focused on revitalizing the Used Car Department and managing inventory. From 1979 to 1999, Greg Lydon held the position of General Manager at Toyota of Merrillville, overseeing profit goals and strategic planning, as well as serving as Director of Operations and Customer Relations, where management of service and parts departments was crucial.

MPEA

The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) is a municipal corporation created by the Illinois General Assembly. Its Board of Directors is appointed by the Governor of Illinois and the Mayor of Chicago. MPEA owns and manages the McCormick Place complex and seeks to promote and operate conventions, fairs and expositions in the Chicago area, in an effort to strengthen the local economy. Historic Navy Pier is also owned and managed by MPEA and the Authority is charged with carrying out the recreational, commercial and cultural redevelopment and operation of Navy Pier, which has become Chicago's most popular visitor attraction.
