Andrea Ascher is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in real estate law. Currently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Unit Chief of Real Estate Development at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority since September 2014, Andrea has previously held various roles including Deputy General Counsel for Real Estate Planning & Development and Real Estate. Prior to this, Andrea was a partner at Schoeman Updike Kaufman Stern & Ascher LLP from October 2011 to September 2014 and at Proskauer Rose LLP from August 2007 to September 2011. Andrea began the career as Counsel at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP from June 1998 to August 2007. Andrea holds a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University.
