Anita L. Miller serves as the Chief Labor and Employee Relations Officer. Miller oversees the strategic direction for labor negotiations and Work Life Services.
As the chief labor negotiator, Miller is responsible for briefing and advising the MTA Chair CEO and the MTA Board on all significant labor-employment related issues, drafting labor relations policies, and responding to matters before administrative tribunals such as the Public Employee Relations Board, National Mediation Board, and Presidential Emergency Board.
Under Miller’s executive leadership, the MTA was the leading public agency in New York State for two consecutive years for our participation in the NYS-MTA Mentoring Program for at-risk schools.
Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in politics, economics and society from the State University of New York, Old Westbury. She earned a law degree from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin M. Cardozo School of Law and is admitted to the New York State Bar. Miller is a lifelong New Yorker.
