Esa Johnsson

Esa Johnsson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in global mobility and tax management. Currently serving as Global Mobility Manager at Metso since May 2023, Esa has held similar roles at Metso Outotec from September 2020 to May 2023 and as Head of Global Mobility from April 2016 to September 2020, where leadership in global mobility initiatives was key. Prior experience includes a role as Tax Manager at KPMG Finland, focusing on expatriate tax and social security consulting from January 2008 to March 2016, and as Senior Associate in a KPMG assignment in the USA, addressing US tax matters for international assignments. Esa's career also includes providing expatriate tax services at PricewaterhouseCoopers and serving as Consul at the Finnish Embassy in Bangkok. Esa holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Management, and Tax from the University of Vaasa and has studied International Business at the University of Gothenburg.
