Maria Hall FCIM has a diverse and extensive work experience in marketing and business development. Maria started their career as an Account Executive at Trilogy Communications Limited in 1996 before moving on to The Centre Limited as an Account Manager, where they worked with clients such as BT and Toyota. Maria then joined Free Spirit Communications as an Account Director.
In 2001, Maria became the Head of Global Marketing at CPA Global, responsible for developing the global marketing strategy for all product and service lines. Maria built a marketing team from scratch and successfully expanded it across multiple countries.
Following that, Maria became the Marketing Director at Fieldfisher, a top European law firm. Maria led a pan-European team and supported 140 partners across various practice areas. Maria developed and executed the marketing and business development strategy for the firm.
In 2013, they took on the role of Group Marketing Director at Rouse, an international Intellectual Property firm. Maria was responsible for all marketing activities worldwide and worked closely with the Chairman and CEO to implement marketing strategies.
Maria then co-founded Atherton York Limited with their husband in 2013. As the Marketing & Operations Director, they built the brand and developed the go-to-market strategy for this niche financial planning business. Under their leadership, the client base, revenue, and funds under management experienced significant growth.
Currently, Maria is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and ESG Lead at Mewburn Ellis, a major European IP firm. Maria is a member of the Management Board and plays a crucial role in driving the firm's overall commercial strategy, revenue generation, marketing, and business development efforts. Additionally, they are responsible for internal communications, culture, and managing business practices and performance around sustainability and ethical issues.
Maria Hall FCIM attended Samuel Ward Upper School from 1987 to 1994. Maria then enrolled in the University of Essex from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and European Literature. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) in 2017.
