Fabian Somfai has a diverse work experience in the finance and consulting industries. Fabian began their career in 2013 as the Founder and lead portfolio manager of MFC Equity, where they successfully managed the investment club's portfolios and later launched two open-ended mutual funds. Fabian specializes in growth investing strategies.
In 2016, they transitioned to Deloitte as a Management Consultant, working on strategic projects with a focus on digital topics such as AI, blockchain, and smart solutions.
From 2018 to 2020, Fabian worked as a Fixed-Income Investment Strategist at BlackRock, specializing in ESG investing. Fabian was part of the Systematic Fixed Income Team, utilizing quantitative methods to deliver consistent returns and lower downside risk.
Most recently, in 2022, Fabian joined EY-Parthenon as an Engagement Manager, where they continued to contribute their expertise in strategic consulting.
Fabian Somfai graduated with a BA degree in Business Economics with International Study from the University of Exeter in 2015. In 2013-2014, they also completed an exchange year at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they studied at the School of Business and Management. In addition to their formal education, Fabian Somfai obtained certifications in "Digital Innovation & Transformation" from Cambridge Judge Business School and "The Iterative Innovation Process" from MIT Sloan School of Management in December 2016.

The club is comprised of nearly 100 individuals with 15+ nationalities who study or studied at top universities in the UK. MFC Equity has physical presence in Cambridge, London, Warwick, Manchester and St Andrews as well as an international team. The fund is pooled by the club’s handpicked partners, who actively manage their portfolio reaching an annualised return of 25% since 2015.
