Joseph Bates is an accomplished academic and author with a rich background in creative writing. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at Miami University since August 2015, Bates also holds the position of Consulting Editor at Miami University Press and has contributed to the institution as a Lecturer and Visiting Assistant Professor in the Creative Writing program from 2007 to 2015.
