Janet Lillie

Janet Lillie is an accomplished academic and community relations professional with extensive experience at Michigan State University since June 2001. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Community Relations, Janet enhances partnerships between the university and the local community while working closely with business and municipal leaders. Previously, Janet held the role of Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, overseeing the undergraduate curriculum and various student programs. Janet’s early career included positions such as Coordinator of Freshmen Year Programming and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. Additionally, Janet worked as a Sales Representative for Ralston Purina, managing a significant number of stores in the Indianapolis area. Janet holds a PhD and MA in Communication from Michigan State University, along with a BA in Communication and German from Miami University.
