Luis Alberto Ochoa Carrera

Luis Alberto Ochoa Carrera is an experienced professional in biosafety and biosecurity, currently serving as the High Containment Lab/Pandemic Safety Manager at Michigan State University since June 2021. Ochoa Carrera has held the position of Senior Advisor at PandemicTech since December 2016 and previously coordinated epidemiological surveillance laboratories at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social from October 2019 to June 2021. With a background that includes serving as the BSL-3 Coordinator at the National Reference Laboratory and responsibilities in biosafety at various health institutions, Ochoa Carrera has developed and implemented comprehensive biological safety management systems aligned with international standards.
