Mercy Amaka Okezue

Mercy Amaka Okezue is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy since August 2023. Okezue has extensive experience as a Regulatory Officer at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) since November 2003, focusing on analytical methods validation. Prior to this role, Okezue worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University College of Pharmacy from May 2022 to August 2023 and completed a PhD in Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Science at Purdue University from August 2018 to May 2022. Okezue also holds a Master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Science and Industrial Pharmacy, respectively. Early career positions include roles as Superintendent Pharmacist and Pharmacist-in-Charge at various pharmacies in Nigeria. Okezue's educational background includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
