Mohammad Ghassemi

Mohammad Ghassemi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University since 2019, specializing in the development of tools and systems that enhance human and machine intelligence. As a Founding Partner at Ghamut since 2016, Mohammad Ghassemi provides technical and strategic consulting services to notable clients, including Allstate and Pfizer. Previously, Mohammad Ghassemi served as a National Scholar of Data and Technology Advancement at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on leveraging large data sets for biomedical research. Additional experience includes directing data science efforts at S&P Global and serving as a strategic consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. Mohammad Ghassemi holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MPhil in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge, with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from New Mexico State University.
