Steve Trewartha has a diverse background in research and development, with experience in chemistry, electrical construction, and nanotechnology. Steve has held various leadership roles, including as the R&D lead at Micro-X and as the President of Flinders University Volleyball Club. Steve has a strong academic background with a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology and Energetic Materials and a Master of Business Administration. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated a passion for teaching, mentoring, and conducting experiments in chemical and mechanical laboratories. Steve's expertise lies in developing and testing innovative solutions, implementing production process improvements, and writing technical reports for internal and external use.
Micro-X
Micro-X was founded in 2011 in Victoria by current Managing Director, Peter Rowland, to commercialise the miniaturisation benefits of CNT x-ray tubes in mobile radiography.The CNT technology partnership with XinRay Systems was begun in 2013 and an exclusive Heads-of-Agreement was signed with Carestream Health Inc of Rochester, New York, inrespect of development collaboration and global distribution of the first mobile medical x-ray product in 2014.Richard Hannebery joined as a Director in 2014 and arranged Series A and B funding tranches of $13M which allowed full-scale engineering development of the x-ray product to commence early in that year.Micro-X Pty Ltd became a public company, Micro-X Ltd, in October 2015 and Lodge Partners led a $20M IPO on the ASX in December of that year.
