Martin Popp

Martin Popp is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the semiconductor and photonics industries. Currently serving as a Director at Micron Technology since March 2020, Martin previously held significant roles at Espros Photonics AG, including CTO and Head of R&D, where responsibilities encompassed wafer processing technology and product engineering. Additionally, Martin contributed as Vice President Technology and Section Head Device at Espros Photonics, focusing on technology development for optical CMOS processes. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Staff Engineer at Qimonda, specializing in DRAM transistor design, and involvement in innovative projects at Infineon Technologies. Martin Popp began their career with a PhD thesis at the Max-Planck Institut Halbleiterlabor, where research centered on CCD detectors for X-Ray astronomy. Martin holds a Diplom in Physics from the University of Bayreuth, obtained between 1990 and 1996.
