Micropore Technologies supports its clients’ journeys towards the greening of their formulated products and their contribution to a circular economy. Micropore Technologies specialises in supporting its clients in the development of their formulations to give significantly improved product performance, increased yields, reduced materials and energy usage and overall superior economics. Micropore’s technology has application across a range of industries including food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and household products. We offer consultancy and development in the areas of precision encapsulation of products such as microspheres for controlled release of injectable pharmaceuticals and high-quality double emulsions for cosmetic applications. At the end of the formulation development phase we can design and build a facility to translate the newly developed formulation into a robustly scaled manufacturing process. The technology can handle volumes ranging from small lab-scale batches of scarce and valuable materials such as proteins up to production scale of ‘000s of tonnes p/a for food and household products. Our academic roots, combined with significant industry experience in collaborative ventures, allow us to confidently work with any size of partner on the route from new process to scaled-up product. Our customers comment favourably on our speed of response and value for money we deliver, ensuring that their products can move rapidly from concept to manufacture. Micropore’s experienced team operates in a culture that does not blame failure as we are constantly pushing boundaries and mistakes are inevitable. We simply learn from them and move on, all the wiser for it. This team is committed to working hard to develop our client experience, and we seek to ensure we have the most experienced, qualified and committed staff we can – all underpinned by a code of ethics and a set of values that everyone has actively signed up to.
