Jason Amberg

Jason Amberg is an experienced marketing and communications professional with a strong background in sports communications. Currently serving as a Marketing & Communications Project Coordinator at Samaritan Health Services since December 2020, Amberg has previously held significant roles at Oregon State University, including Assistant Athletics Communications Director, where responsibilities included managing communications for multiple NCAA Division I athletic teams and overseeing a staff of 40. With early career roles at Portland State University and Washington State University, Amberg developed expertise in media relations and content creation. Amberg's foundational experience in leadership was gained as a Sonar Technician in the US Navy, where training and supervision of junior personnel were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include a BA in Sport Management with a focus on Public Relations from Washington State University and an Associate's degree in Journalism from Linn-Benton Community College.
