Samuel Lavoie

Samuel Lavoie is a dedicated scientific researcher at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, where engagement began in January 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a visiting researcher at Meta from October 2022 to September 2024 and a research intern at Université de Montréal between September 2016 and December 2017. Samuel has also contributed as a teaching assistant at Polytechnique Montréal and held software engineering internships at Microsoft and Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. Educational achievements consist of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Mila, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université de Montréal, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. Further foundational studies include health science at College de Maisonneuve.
