Svein G. Sanner has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Svein G. started their career in 2005 as a Systems Engineer in the Intelligence Battalion of the Norwegian Armed Forces, where they focused on operations and maintenance of classified IT and communication systems. From 2008 to 2012, they served as a Project Officer and System Manager for the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation, responsible for specification, technical procurement, logistics, and implementation of technical solutions.
In 2012, Svein became a Program Manager for the IT infrastructure renewal program in a sub-organization of the Norwegian Armed Forces. Svein G. successfully established and led the program organization, laying the foundation for the subsequent delivery project.
In 2015, Svein joined EVRY as a Senior Project Manager for Financial Services, where they played a crucial role in offering full banking service solutions to Norwegian and European banks. Svein G. focused on EVRY Card Issuing and provided modular services for card issuers.
In 2018, Svein joined PwC Norway as a Cybersecurity & Privacy GRC Manager/Senior Manager. Svein G. led the implementation of information security management systems and provided management consultancy within the Strategy and Transformation team. Svein G. was later promoted to Senior Manager and became the team leader for the Transformation team.
From 2020 to 2023, Svein served as the Group CISO - Chief Information Security Officer at Nortura SA. Svein G. led the cyber and information security department and was a member of the Group IT management team. Reporting to the CIO and CEO, they were responsible for the overall information security of the company.
Currently, Svein is the Head of Section at Miljødirektoratet, a position they have held since 2023.
Svein G. Sanner has an extensive education history. In 2001, they enrolled in The Norwegian Army College of Engineering and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics - Telematics in 2004. Svein G. further expanded their knowledge in 2003 by attending Høgskolen i Hedmark and studying Hærens ingeniørhøgskole, Organisation, management, and change for 30 credits until 2005. In the same year, Svein also pursued Universitetsstudiene på Kjeller at the University of Oslo for 10 credits.
Svein continued their education in 2010 by attending The Norwegian Military Academy and completing the Officers qualifying course in Military and Strategic Leadership, earning 30 SP (study points). In 2011, they enrolled in Oslo and Akershus University College and obtained a Certified Project Manager degree for 30 SP in Metier Academy Prinsix Project management.
In 2019, Svein attended Glasspaper and became a Certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, specializing in information security management systems. Svein G. also expanded their knowledge in project management by attending the Executive Short Program at BI Norwegian Business School in 2014 and becoming certified in PRINCE2 Foundation+Practitioner through Metier Academy in the same year.
Svein pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills. Svein G. obtained the Scrum Master certification from Glasspaper in 2017, the ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT in 2015, and the TOGAF9, Principles of Enterprise Architecture certificate from Glasspaper in 2013. In 2017, they attended EVRY Academy for Value Based Performance Leadership, and in 2018, they obtained the Certified foundation in ISO 27001 from Advisera.
Furthermore, Svein holds additional certifications, including CCSKv4 - Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge from the Cloud Security Alliance in 2022, ISO 27001 Foundation from Exemplar Global, Inc. in 2018, PRINCE2 Practitioner and PRINCE2 Foundation from APMG International in 2014, and Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer from PECB in 2019. Svein G. also obtained the Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in 2017.

For more than forty years, the Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management (DN) and the Norwegian Climate and Pollution Agency (Klif) have played a key role in preserving nature, reducing pollution, and shaping Norwegian environmental policy. Effective 1 July 2013 we merged into a single agency for environmental matters, the Norwegian Environment Agency, under the Ministry of the Environment. Ellen Hambro is the director general of the Norwegian Environment Agency. The Norwegian Environment Agency is the largest agency under the Ministry of the Environment with approximately 700 employees, most of whom work at our offices in Trondheim and Oslo. The sections that are primarily responsible for nature management are located in Trondheim, while the sections that are primarily responsible for climate and pollution issues are located in Oslo. The Norwegian Nature Inspectorate (SNO) is part of the agency, with employees at more than sixty local offices. Managing Norwegian nature and preventing pollution The Norwegian Environment Agency will be instrumental in nature management and pollution control. Our functions are to monitor the state of the environment, convey environment-related information, exercise authority, oversee and guide regional and municipal authorities, collaborate with the authorities of relevant sectors, act as an expert advisor, and assist in international environmental efforts.
