Mike Purewal

Mike Purewal is an accomplished professional in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Head of AI for Equities Technology at Millennium since October 2023. Previously, Mike held the position of Head of Markets Data Science at Bank of America from February 2011 to September 2023, where significant contributions included the design and implementation of AI models for Equities Sales & Trading and the development of an external client data API. Mike’s extensive experience encompasses roles in risk management, data analytics, and academia, including an advisory role at CRAFT_NSF, consultancy at QuantEssential LLC, and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Mike earned a PhD in Applied Physics from Columbia University and a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Lehigh University, with a notable publication record in experimental condensed matter physics.
