James Postle

Deputy Head, Enrolment & Outreach at Millfield School

James was appointed Deputy Head (Enrolment and Outreach) in December 2021 and oversees student enrolment at Millfield Schools, public benefit, and international campus development. He joined Millfield in 2012 as Registrar and has been responsible for the admissions department and recruitment of students from the UK and overseas. He began his career in 1995 teaching History and Politics at Epsom College, becoming Director of Admissions in 2002. This role was later expanded to include the Marketing Department and establishing of Epsom Malaysia. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Blundell’s School Junior Department (ages 11-13) and a boarding housemaster.

James has a BA in History and a PGCE from the University of Reading. In 2005 he was awarded a Winston Churchill Trust Fellowship researching independent and state school partnerships in Australia. He also competes internationally at target rifle shooting and represented England on tour in 2019.
