Jose Varela

Jose Varela is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in systems engineering and support. Currently serving as an IT L2 BSS Support Engineer at Millicom (Tigo) since September 2021, Jose has effectively managed the Mediation, Interconnection & Roaming team and contributed to significant projects such as migrating to a SaaS billing system. Previously, Jose excelled as an Interconnection Engineer, improving traffic visualization using Power BI and implementing monitoring solutions for traffic errors. As CEO of Estampados507 from January 2016 to September 2021, Jose developed a company website and successfully grew the company's Instagram presence through targeted advertising. Further experience as Coordinador Sistemas Informaticos at Celltech inc involved overseeing IT equipment maintenance and upgrades. Jose holds a Licentiate degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Latina de Panamá.
