Eric Schmidt

Eric Schmidt currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Government and Politics at Millsaps College. Previously, Schmidt was a Pre-Law Advisor at Concordia College, where responsibilities included advising over 70 pre-law students and organizing events for the Pre-Law Society. Prior experience at Indiana University Bloomington included roles as a Political Science Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant at the Center on American Politics, where Schmidt coordinated national survey participation and developed data collection instruments. Schmidt has also held various teaching positions and served as a project manager for workshops, focusing on political research and education. Academic credentials include a PhD in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington, an M.A. from Duke University, and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
