Kris Huber has extensive work experience in the technology industry. They started their career as a Student Researcher at Lucent Technologies in 2000. At Array Systems Computing Inc., Kris held various roles, including Senior Research Scientist, Manager of Research and Development, and Chief Technical Officer. They were responsible for developing a Software Defined Radio and advanced beamforming and ship tracking algorithms. From 2017 to 2020, Kris worked as the Director of Technical Accounts at eleven-x. Currently, they are the Director of Machine Learning and Strategic Passive Sonar Programs at MIND-Technology (previously Mitcham Industries), where they lead software engineering teams in developing automated target recognition packages and supporting customers in acoustic analysis.

Kris Huber has an extensive education history in the field of engineering and physics. They obtained their Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University from 1997 to 1999. Kris also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics, which they acquired from McMaster University from 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Kris Huber has also obtained several certifications. They completed the "TensorFlow: Advanced Techniques Specialization" from Coursera in January 2022. Before that, in September 2020, they obtained the "DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer Specialization" from Coursera. Another certification they completed in August 2020 is the "Deep Learning Specialization," also from Coursera.
