Fleur Francois is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within government and scientific institutions. Currently serving as Director of Diagnostics, Readiness and Surveillance Services at the Ministry for Primary Industries since October 2020, Fleur previously held the position of Manager for Climate Change On-Farm and Inventory. Prior to this, Fleur was a Trustee at Innovative Young Minds and spent six years at Callaghan Innovation as Director of the Measurement Standards Laboratory, overseeing a team of physicists and engineers to ensure measurement standards vital for international trade. Additional experience includes positions in policy management at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry for the Environment, and a role as Senior Scientific Adviser at the Environmental Protection Authority. Fleur's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Massey University and an Executive Masters of Public Administration from Victoria University of Wellington.
