Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor is an experienced professional in aquatic and environmental health with a strong background in biosecurity science and management. Currently serving as Team Manager for Aquatic Health at the Ministry for Primary Industries since March 2015, Mike specializes in biosecurity surveillance and incursion investigation. Prior roles include Manager Biosecurity Response at Elements Strategic and Manager Research Science & Technology at Seqwater, where strategic and operational needs were addressed through established research programs. Mike's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in modelling environmental influences on shellfish populations from The University of Auckland and specialized leadership training from multiple management institutes.
