Scott Sinclair

Scott Sinclair is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biosecurity and plant health management. Currently serving as the Manager of Operational Readiness for Plants & Environment at the Ministry for Primary Industries, Scott is focused on developing strategies to combat biosecurity threats in New Zealand. Previously, Scott worked as a Senior Advisor in Biosecurity NZ, providing technical expertise to protect Aotearoa from invasive organisms. Scott's career includes significant roles such as Manager of Readiness Science Products at Biosecurity New Zealand and Research and Development Lead at BioLumic. Additionally, Scott has a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Plant Genetics and a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Melbourne, complemented by post-doctoral research experiences in prestigious institutions.
