Michael Barry

Michael Barry is an experienced business leader with a strong focus on growth and innovation. Currently serving as the Head of Growth at Swell, Michael accelerates investment in impact innovation by facilitating access to government grants for purpose-driven companies across Aotearoa. As a Startup Coach at the Ministry of Awesome, Michael mentors startup founders to enhance Aotearoa New Zealand's knowledge-based economy. Previously, Michael co-founded and served as CEO of Enroller, the world's largest online marketplace for high schools recruiting international students, which was acquired by Educatius Group after significant growth. Michael's background also includes a role as Senior Business Development Manager at Ayming UK, where notable achievements included advising major clients and generating substantial revenue. Earlier ventures include co-founding Talent Airways and managing business development at Supagas, demonstrating a consistent track record of driving business success across various sectors. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management from the University of Otago.
