Abby DeWalt's work experience begins in 2010 at Saint Louis University, where they worked as a Student Researcher until 2012. From 2014 to 2016, Abby worked as a Research Engineer at the Northwestern Global Health Foundation, primarily focusing on developing point-of-care molecular diagnostic devices for Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2017, Abby joined Baxter International Inc., initially working as a Software Test Engineer for a few months before transitioning to the role of Hardware Test Engineer. In 2018, they became the Lead System Integrator/Senior Systems Engineer, taking on the responsibility of executing and implementing new hardware development for a renal therapy device. Abby held this position until 2022 when they joined Minnetronix, Inc. as a Senior System Engineer.

Abby DeWalt earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biology from Saint Louis University, where they attended from 2009 to 2014. Later, Abby pursued a Master's Degree in the field of Master of Science in Law at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law from 2015 to 2017.
