Robert Scott is a Principal Design Engineer at Wave Computing since May 2018, specializing in MIPS CPU verification and AI chip emulation following the acquisition of MIPS Technologies, Inc. Previously, Robert held the same title at MIPS Technologies, Inc. from October 2017 to May 2018, after transitioning from Imagination Technologies where responsibilities included UVM verification for MIPS CPUs. Earlier experience includes verification consultancy roles at SanDisk® and Cisco, focusing on SerDes/line management chips, as well as a Principal Verification Engineer position at Cadence Design Systems where Robert developed verification environments. Additional roles include Snr. Consulting Engineer at Verisity, Methodology Consultant at Synopsys, and Corp Applications Engineer at Compass Design Automation. Robert Scott holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics and Telecommunication Systems from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics from The University of Salford.
