Jon Archer has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and system administration. Jon is currently the Head of DevOps at Mission Labs, where they are responsible for delivering cloud-based solutions and transforming customer experiences. Prior to this, Jon worked as a DevOps Specialist at Arcnet IT Solutions, managing and improving the platform using CI/CD methods and tools. Jon also served as a Senior Capability Engineer at Piksel, where they implemented and managed solutions within AWS. Jon has worked in various roles at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, specializing in virtualization, storage, Unix, Linux, and Windows technologies. Jon also served as a Fedora Ambassador and Administrator & Event Organiser at RossLUG. Earlier in their career, Jon worked as a Senior Linux, Virtualization, and Storage Administrator at Echostar Europe, contributing to the company's transition to Agile methodologies. Jon started their career as a Systems Administrator at James Hall and worked as a 3rd Line Engineer at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
Jon Archer obtained an HNC Computing degree from ELIHE Blackburn, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Security - Specialty from Amazon Web Services in February 2023, AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2021, and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp in November 2021.
