Misurata Free Zone (MFZ) is the No. 1 leading free zone in Libya. It was established in 2000 as the first free zone in the country on a total area of 2576 hectares with a future expansion plan to cover a total area of 20000 hectares. MFZ owns the largest and the most commercially active seaport in Libya, as it accounts for about 60% out of the country’s non-oil trade volume. MFZ provides an ideal investment base for both local and foreign investors where all taxation, customs, trade and monetary formalities are deregulated.
