Dave Deutsch holds the CIPP US and CIPP E certifications and currently serves as Associate General Counsel for Regulatory & Privacy at Mitel, a position held since February 2018, where responsibilities include leading data protection and regulatory compliance efforts. Previously, Dave served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Entrust Datacard, focusing on Cloud, IoT, and privacy matters from September 2015 to February 2018. Earlier experience includes various roles at BlackBerry, encompassing advisory and contract negotiation responsibilities for BBM’s advertising business and device-related agreements. A graduate of the University of Ottawa with an LL.B. in Law and Technology and Carleton University with a B.Eng. in Computer Systems, Dave has a background that integrates legal expertise with technology knowledge.
