Christine Callsen

Christine Callsen is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in strategy, growth, and program management, currently serving as the Director of Strategy and Growth at MITRE Labs since March 2020. In this role, Christine oversees initiatives in applied science and advanced technology to address pressing national and global challenges, contributing to critical areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital health. Previous positions include Managing Director and Chief of Staff at the Hume Center for National Security and Technology at Virginia Tech, where Christine drove program development and secured over $80 million in funding. With a strong academic foundation, holding a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Christine brings a diverse skill set to the field of national security and technology.
