Ken Laskey currently serves as Chair and Editor for the OASIS SOA standards, overseeing the SOA Reference Model Technical Committee and editing key foundational documents in Service Oriented Architecture since 2004. As Lead Engineer at MITRE Corporation since June 2003, Ken specializes in SOA architecture and standards. Ken's previous roles include membership on the W3C Advisory Board from 2001 to 2009 and co-chairing the Uncertainty Reasoning for the World Wide Web Incubator Group from 2007 to 2008, along with positions at the World Wide Web Consortium and various engineering roles at SAIC and Grumman. Ken holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and multiple degrees in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from prestigious institutions including the University of California, Berkeley, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
