William Kwan, E.I.T.

William Kwan, E.I.T. has a diverse range of work experience. William currently works as an Office Engineer at M&J Engineering, P.C. since 2022. Previously, they worked at STV from 2016 to 2022, where they held various roles including Civil Engineering Designer, Office Engineer, and Senior Inspector. William managed and contributed to several projects, such as the Woodhaven Boulevard SBS Phase B and the Rehabilitation of Pedestrian Ramps. William also oversaw the upgrade of water mains and sewer rehabilitation, as well as the Kosciuszko Bridge Replacement and the Governors Island Building 110 Boiler Room Heating Upgrade projects. Prior to their time at STV, William worked at the NYC Department of Design and Construction as a Construction Inspector from 2013 to 2016. William monitored the construction of catch basins and the replacement of combined sewers. Additionally, they gained experience as a Solar Panel AutoCAD Intern at American Renewable Energy, Inc. in 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Facilitator at Chinatown Youth Initiatives and as a Community Monitor at YooStar Entertainment Group, Inc.

William Kwan, E.I.T., pursued their education in civil engineering, starting with obtaining their High School Diploma from Stuyvesant High School in 2009. William then attended Syracuse University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering. In April 2013, they obtained the Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from the New York State Education Department.

Throughout their career, William has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In November 2013, they completed the OSHA 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. In November 2016, they achieved the OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification from ClickSafety. Additionally, in October 2017, they obtained the certification for "Protecting New York's Natural Resources with Better Construction Site Management" from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. In April 2018, they became an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I through the American Concrete Institute. Most recently, in November 2021, they completed the OSHA 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health certification from Vector Solutions.
