Robert D. Manfred Jr.

Commissioner at Major League Baseball

Fittingly, the man who would become our pastime's 10th Commissioner grew up just an hour's drive from Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rob Manfred grew up in the small upstate New York town of Rome, and the 56-year-old lawyer with a background in labor relations took office Jan. 25, 2015, after being elected to the position on Aug. 14, 2014.
