Hattie Saltzman is a skilled professional with experience in development and public health. Currently serving as Development Specialist II at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since July 2021, Hattie manages donor relationships using Raiser’s Edge, processes donations, and reconciles accounts with the accounting department. Previous roles include Development Data Specialist at MOCSA and Disease Investigator at the Jackson County Health Department, where Hattie contributed as a COVID-19 contact tracer. Hattie's background includes an internship with the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, focusing on community engagement and research for a thesis related to racial disparities in law enforcement. Hattie holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an Associate of Arts from Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods.

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
