Kassie Sands Cfre

Kassie Sands, CFRE, has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Kassie began their career in 2000 at the Greater Kansas City Foundation as a Case Manager/Social Worker before transitioning to Current Solutions in 2003 where they served as an Inside Sales Representative. In 2007, Sands joined Support Kansas City as a Client Administrator and later took on roles as a Fund Development Specialist and Director of Development and Administrative Services. Their most recent position was as the Vice President of Development at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) starting in 2017.

Kassie Sands, CFRE, has a diverse education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. In 1999, they attended The University of Kansas but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University. Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
