Kenny Yates is a skilled professional with extensive experience in data management and organizational operations. Currently serving as a Program Data Specialist II at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since April 2022, Kenny facilitates program data collection, quality assurance, and grant reporting. Previously, Kenny held various leadership roles at Lawrence Community Shelter from 2015 to 2021, including Director of Finance and Operations, where responsibilities included oversight of multiple departments and administration of facilities and special projects. Additional experience includes project coordination in business environments and data collection for national park initiatives. Kenny holds a Master of Arts in Conservation Biology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Washburn University.

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
