Liz Tobin

Liz Tobin serves as the North America Disputes & Regulatory Counsel at BlueScope, providing support for litigation, complex claims, and regulatory matters across 14 states and 26 locations since January 2022. In addition to this role, Liz is a Board Member and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Amethyst Place and a Volunteer Community Educator for the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA). Liz has previously held positions as Of Counsel at Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P., and as an Associate at Ogletree Deakins, Spencer Fane LLP, and Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP. Liz holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in History from the University of Minnesota.

Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
